The hidden collectibles are everywhere and genuinely rewarding to hunt down, which is exactly what I wanted from a classic platformer. Those colorful worlds are packed with puzzles that keep things fresh without ever feeling unfair, and the whole thing plays smoothly from start to finish.
Took a chance on this for the nostalgia trip and the vibrant worlds are even more colorful than I remembered. The hidden collectibles scattered through each level keep pulling me back for just one more run. Thirty minutes felt like three seconds, if that tells you anything.
I was a bit worried the 25th anniversary edition would just be a lazy rehash, but the puzzles across the vibrant worlds feel as sharp as I remember. Spent a whole weekend just poking every corner for hidden collectibles and outsmarting the enemies, and it's still a satisfying challenge.
