A run-and-gun platformer about a worm in a robot suit, loud and weird and gorgeous, the kind of game you can’t wait to tell your friends about. Jim has been shrunk down into a handheld format while maintaining all the fun, but rebuilding the game from the ground up for this hardware. The Chromatic edition is enhanced with auto-save and level select for a more groovy replay experience.
The platforming feels incredibly tight on the handheld, and that loud, colorful art style pops perfectly on the small screen. I’ve already finished it twice just to watch Jim flail around in his robot suit again.
The hand-to-hand combat sections in the robot suit are a blast, and the color palette on the handheld screen is absurdly vibrant. I’ve already replayed the first three levels just to soak in the weird backgrounds. Been grinning the whole way through.
The shotgun jump feels perfectly weighted, and the sheer amount of weird, gory detail on every screen kept me grinning through the whole run. Jim's chaotic energy translated flawlessly to the handheld, and I already restarted it twice.
