The music alone took me right back to my childhood, and the jump mechanics feel just as tight as I remember. Four distinct worlds with over 30 levels is a solid chunk of platforming for the price. A few camera quirks show its age, but it's a faithful trip down memory lane.
I was honestly bracing for a lazy port, but the level design across those four worlds holds up way better than I remembered. The Gobbo rescue missions give each stage a real purpose, and I found myself replaying levels just to save them all. It's the kind of collectathon pacing that actually respect
The 30 levels across four worlds give the game way more content than I expected for a nostalgic replay. Controls feel tight on modern hardware, and that opening jump onto Baron Dante’s castle still hits the same thrill as the original.
