Link Cable Multiplayer: Which Games Support It on M64 and Chromatic?

If you grew up with retro consoles, you know the thrill of plugging in a link cable and challenging a friend to a head-to-head match. The M64 and Chromatic consoles bring that same excitement back, and many of their games support link cable multiplayer. Whether you're into racing, puzzle, or action games, there's a title that lets you share the fun.

In this guide, we'll highlight some of the best link cable compatible games for both systems, explain how to get them working, and offer tips for choosing the right games for your multiplayer sessions.

How Link Cable Multiplayer Works on M64 and Chromatic

Link cable multiplayer allows two consoles to connect directly, enabling head-to-head or cooperative play without needing an online connection. On the M64 and Chromatic, this is done via a link cable that plugs into both consoles. Once connected, you and a friend can enjoy games that support this feature.

Setting up is straightforward: ensure both consoles are powered off, connect the link cable to the designated ports, then power on and launch a compatible game. Some games may require you to select a multiplayer option in the menu. It's a great way to relive the couch co-op experience of the past.

• Check that both consoles are fully charged or plugged in to avoid interruptions.
• Keep the link cable connection secure to prevent disconnects during gameplay.
